As locals, we know all too well that Philadelphia isn't just the land of cheesesteaks. This town packs quite a punch when it comes to what some of the city's chefs are cooking up. In addition to the array of Mexican joints, sushi spots and killer burgers around town, there are some incredible options for vegetarians, vegans and everything in between. Long gone are the days when eateries offered one obligatory and unexciting vegetarian option. Below are our favorite spots split up by neighborhood where you can find fare for the veggie lover.
This craft beer bar takes its dedication to pleasing vegans and vegetarians seriously. Try their coconut club sandwich with layered fried tofu and crunchy smokey coconut- dare we say it's better than bacon! Their vegan peanut butter pie is also absolutely divine!

This neighborhood favorite offers outdoor dining and many vegetarian comfort food options such as veggie wings with apricot horseradish cream and a bbq pulled portabella sandwich. Yum!

With their excellent dinner and brunch specials as well as late night drinks, Cantina always has a bustling crowd. Try the fajitas with wild mushrooms, smoked seitan and tofu or look for their ever changing and always delicious vegetarian specials.

This local staple has tons of mouthwatering options for vegans and vegetarians. From the Tempeh Club to the Vegan Sloppy Joe on the nightly dinner menu and the Tofu & Tempeh Hash and Tater Tot Scramble on the brunch menu, herbivores go nuts for this spot.

The Vegan Cheese Fries first caught our attention and kept us coming back. There are so many options such as vegan and vegetarian pizzas and sandwiches galore. Need a cheesesteak? Their award winning vegan Seitan Cheesesteak with rosemary and garlic seared seitan and vegan whiz [this exists] is sure to satisfy!
